I'm not a fan of bull bars, and definitely not chrome. Avid makes a very nice light bar that you can powdercoat or bedline. Looks much better IMO and provides better protection in parking lots from carts since it wraps around the bumper. If you don't like the stock bumper, you can always replace it with another. We have several TW vendors that fabricate their own bumpers front and rear.

That Avid isn't bad looking but HOLY SHIT, $325 for unpainted, before shipping??? WOW!
I got my Distinct lightbar for $175 powdercoated, and shipped to me.

I wanted more protection for the whole front when I'm driving around the fields on my farm. I settled on the Avid Light Bar and had Avid add an extra bar to protect the middle of the bumper at the bottom. I also think it looks great and is solidly attached to the frame. :):):)

I have not got the Rigid lights yet to attach to the light bar.

Here is a picture of mine.

PS: They do not extend past the side of the truck. It ia an optical allusion of the photo. :D

With the discount from this Forum it brings it down to about $290 which will cover the shipping. It is also made with much thicker metal then all the others I've seen.
As for painting it cost me about $12.00 for a can of primer & Truck Bed spray paint. Very easy to do and looks great. :)

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I've had this $50 CL find (I think it was on a Ford Ranger previously) installed for almost a year and have no complaints.

After looking at your picture, this is for me rather than worthless bull bars for some kind of limited protection that still allows me to keep all my stock bumper in place.

I am not a heavy off road person, and when going, need a little something to let me know "obect ahead" and also hold some lights that will not crumble.

If that was the case he didn't adjust it correctly. Mine is a Westin and it offered plenty of adjustment to mount it close enough to look good, but still far enough to keep it off the body work .
