    I put gas in it...
Anyway to keep power to accessories when truck is off? I have an enclosed trailer that has lights inside. When the truck is powered off the lights won't come on. Anyone know a solution that will allow me to use the truck battery?

I searched but couldn't find anything. My tundra came setup like this from the beginning :/

    Thanks,
    -Flashy

I can't think of anything other than rewiring the supply 12V supply to your plug. If you are just running lights you could install a small sealed 12V battery in the trailer to power the lights.

Is wiring a separate plug an option? You could run a fused wire from your battery to the rear of the truck (maybe even put it on a switch so it doesn't corrode from being outside). Make the truck have the female side and the trailer have the male side. That way your stock trailer wiring doesn't get affected and that trailer in particular can be plugged into your battery so your lights work.

Dont know how much I would recommend it, but you'll have to run to a continuos power source, maybe splice into something. Get a power reader and check to see what has power in the fuse box when the truck is off. Would really watch out on how much your running as well. Dont wanna blow anything out

    I put gas in it...

Funny story there actually... The trailer has a full-size car battery in it lol. But the lights that are in it are wired to the trailer light hookup instead of the on board battery (logic!?).

Rather than rewire the lights I figured it'd be better to rewire the truck because that'd be a little more fun lol

I may just wire in my own lights and run them straight to the on-board battery :/ - Atleast that way I can wire up some LEDs and hope that the battery will live a little longer.

That battery is likely for the brakes. It activates the electric brakes if the truck becomes disconnected from the trailer. I'm not sure about the laws in your area but you might be able to just wire the trailer lights to that battery. Check local laws though, not sure if that battery needs to be dedicated to the brakes or not.

It must have been 4-5 years ago but there was a mod on here for the second gens where you could jump or bypass the fuses and it worked. I have no earthly idea how it was done though. I did it on my old 07 and it worked.
