That's a choice you have to make. I'm all for serving our country but, not sure doing it because you're bored is reason to do so over the longer term.

Active Duty might be rewarding but Air Guard or Reserves probably wont , Go Active ... most of the Air Force lives a sham life

Just be aware that reservists typically get deployed more than the active military. :)

Ive been debating about doing the same thing. I have been off active duty now for more than three years and miss it everyday. It wouldn't hurt to get the extra money from time to time. The tuition assistance wouldn't hurt either. I've been struggling with the decision for a year or so now. Maybe I need to just bite the bullet and go for it.

edit: Another reason i'm holding off is because I really don't want to shave my beard.... seems like a valid reason

As a reservist, I wouldn't recommend it because you were "bored". You should have to have a deeper, intrinsic reason: patriotism, bettering yourself, supporting your family, financial reasons, etc. I say this only because you deal with so much BS in the military that you need that deeper foundation to keep you grounded and not want to go around murdering people out of pure frustration especially when you're going to be under contract for 3 or 4 years minimum. Also, active duty might be better financially (if that matters), reserves you're gonna have to juggle a civilian and military life because there's no way you're going to survive on 2 days of drill pay every month but all is not bad. It actually is pretty rewarding; you're bettering yourself and your family name and some of the best people I've ever might in my life, I met in the military.

FYI: i'm speaking from an army perspective. I don't know how air force is.
