i figured that we could use one for people like me to learn from the people who have been doing it for a while.

what do y'all reload? i want to learn to reload rifle, pistol, and possibly shotgun,
we have a die for 38 special, and my grandpa thinks he has a die for 223.

    anyway, BS away.

what do i need to start reloading? http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/guns-hunting/79939-want-start-reloading.html

I've been thinking about getting into this for years. Just haven't taken the plunge yet. Where is a good place to buy the equipment and supplies? Just for shits I went to gander mountain just wanting to look and the shelves were almost bare.

I reload 9mm for competition use. I use a Dillon xl650 loader with automatic bullet feeder and case feeder.

Just set up my new Dillon RL550 after a really ugly 6 months with a Lee Pro 1000. The Lee cost me hundreds of hours in failed ammunition, as well as a blown barrel in my wife's Kimber. I usually load .45 for competition, and .223 for plinking.

I'm set up for 10mm, 380 and 30-06 at the moment. I got the Hornady lock-n-load kit about three years ago and it has been great.

Hand loaded about 2200 10mm and less than 50 30-06. No 380's yet.

I'd be happy to share what I know from my kinda limited experience.

I was stretching finances a lot with the 550, but found a good deal at $500 with the caliber conversion kit.
Bear in mind, I'd had two Square Deals that I ended up selling, and went cheap with the Lee to get back into it.
Besides, the auto index function is where I've seen most of my failures. This forces me to slow down a bit.

I think I'm going to get into this reloading thing...I'm pissed I didn't a long time ago, as it seems easier to stockpile components than loaded ammunition.

Going to go with a single stage to start off with, and truthfully, will probably stick with it. Plan on just loading 3-400 a month, or whatever I end up shooting.

Just ordered 10k small rifle primers and 3k small pistol. Plan on mostly loading 5.56/9mm.

Hell I only do about 100-200 the night before I go shoot :anonymous: It is good if you are really into guns, allows you to do gun stuff when not at the range. Also gives you a way more consistant load. Once my bore heats up, I am usually shooting touching pairs out to 100yds when I take my time.

The reason I havent? All the e-talk about the glock kaboom with a .40 and reloads...it just makes me nervous...

    anyone have any thoughts?
