I have the non-JBL system that came in my '12 TRD and I saw a guy selling the JBL sub enclosure and speakers on CL for $100. Worth the money to upgrade?

Not sure how it would sound without the amp but I love the JBL system in my truck though, sounds awesome. Definitely worth $100.

Not worth it without the amp. For $150, you can get the sound ordnance B8PT and be much happier.

Yeah the amp is mounted directly to the subwoofer enclosure. I think its well worth the money. Sh*t bumps!!

some of this, a little of that
there is a different wiring harness for the HU as well you would need. I think the price is great but probably more of a hassell than it's worth.

Yep, that's the amp but I suggest researching on how to connect it as I don't think it's gonna come with the connectors so it's not simply plug and play for you. I have it and it's alright sounding for a factory system and if you like the factory look (stock head unit). I'd personally change out sub/amp if I was upgrading to a new HU along with all the speakers.

Any idea where I could find that info? Unfortunately I can't just upgrade the speakers without a new HU and I like the stock look. A JL Cleansweep would add 250 to the price and I would need to buy an amp to power good aftermarket speakers. I was really hoping this JBL thing would work.

Good point. I don't have the entune system either.

I don't have entune and have the JBL. I believe entune came out for 2012+. As for connecting it, I guess you can hard wire it to the HU. As for actual wiring directions, I don't know the exact details. I believe the JBL amp runs all the speakers and not just the sub.

I'm sure if you put a better sub in the jbl box and a wire it to a better amp it would sound great . Its popular with the 4runner guys , check it out .

Not sure if that alone is worth 100 though ...
