The silent majority who appreciate what Law Enforcement does every day, doesn't tell you this enough: Thank You, for what you do.

You are incredible for CHOOSING to do this job; to put us first. For listening to your protective instincts and taking on the responsibility of ensuring our well being.

Its a heavy price, and there are those of us who understand your challenges intimately. The re-playing single moments in your head, rotating sleep schedules, hierarchies that rarely promote properly, making due with inadequate equipment and resources, and maintaining the mindset that is necessary to do your job. It is difficulty to fight complacency, and to remind yourself of what can, and has gone wrong. Its hard to see the good in people sometimes, and its hard to stop the things you see from changing who you are.

I apologize that the mouth breathers are always the loudest, and that we; the majority, haven't done a better job in drowning them out.

"It doesn't matter what the day brings, at the end of it, I'm coming home to my family."

    Respect.
