So I blew one of the stock speakers and now I'm looking for a replacement. I'm thinking 6.5 Rockford Components, http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-T1652-S-Component-Speakers/dp/B001TIVP3I/ref=pd_sim_e_6,

I'm not looking to replace the stock head unit JUST YET, I have a 2012 AC with no speakers in the rear, my budget for speakers is around $250. I plan on adding speakers to the rear at some point as well (Probably when I change out the head unit) I listen to everything, Rock, Rap, Country, Dubstep, Techno. My biggest concern would be clean bass followed by clear voice. I'm going to be making my own speaker mounts or supporting ********* if I get lazy haha.

    So Any Suggestions?

Are you sure you don't have speakers in therear? Turn the radio control fade to full rear. That will help you find them. They should be hiding in the headliner. At least that was where mine are. No idea how to change those or what they even look like.

I've done that there's nothing, I've also taken apart the rear door panels and there's a space for them, just no wires or speakers. I only have the SR5 Package and the 4Cly. It's pretty basic but that's alright because I planned on changing out everything anyway eventually.

I haven't messed with Audio in forever, my last vehicle was a Mazda 6 with the bose package the only thing I did was add an Aux Input with that one. When I was messing around with audio Alpine and Sony were still your best bet on a HS budget haha and people where using 2 way and 3 way 6x9's with a sub and amp. Now I'm not sure what speakers are still good I chose component for two reasons, 1. The truck already has them. And 2. I like that the bass and the tweeter are separate not sure what the boxes are that come with them though. I'm thinking its a controller not a small amp?

Those are crossovers, they filter certain frequencies out so you will not get lows sent to your tweeters, and what not. I don't have personal experience with the fosgates, do I can not say anything about those. However I just put some 6.5 components alpine type R's, and I am really enjoying them even without an amp, which I hope to be adding soon. As for the adapters I would consider contacting mr. marv who makes better ones than you'll probably receive from your everyday local car audio store.

I was wondering if Alpine was still good. I LOVED ALPINE back in Highschool but with many companies now a days they are trying to cut spending and usually make crappier stuff then before. with your Alpines did you have to install the crossovers or are their stock ones built into the system so you can just plug and play so to speak.

I have the Infinity Kappa 6.5 components in the front running off of an Alpine 75x4 amp, and they sound great. They are actually a 2 ohm speaker so they're actually getting around 100 wpc. I bridged the other two channels on an Infinity Reference 8" sub in a small (.375) sealed Mr. Marv enclosure, and for less that $500 including a Kenwood Excelon single DIN head unit, it sounds great. I got the 6.5 components off of Amazon for around $120.

My alpines came with a crossover I installed them they're not bad to install. However head unit has a built in crossover so I didn't really need to, so unless your head unit has one I'd use em.

I'm not sure if the stock stereo has one or not, I'm guess it does because the speaker and the tweeter aren't located together the tweet is up by the handle if I remember correctly, in that general area.

I can't comment on RF components but their build quality is amazing. I have a 12" T0 subwoofer and it is really good. I'm impressed with it. Rockford makes some really solid products. And the price shows it.
