So when I bought my tacoma they offered the Karr alarm for cheap so I just said what the heck throw it on there. Well the other day it seems the car alarm no longer works, only as a unlock/lock feature as the sr5 models originally come with. It does beep twice when I start the truck.

Is there a way to turn the alarm back on, is it a fuse or something? Or will I have to take it into the dealership?

Oh and any good recommendation on a remote starter?

Do you see a small rubber button anywhere newly installed? That has setting options when you push and hold etc.... Your manual should tell you, this is for sure on the Clifford's not sure about karrs alarm?

ya Ill have too look at it. The beeping twice while starting is new and has started since my car alarm seems to not work. It was fine for the last 8 months. I was reading before you could disable the chirp by using your key and ignition sequence, not sure if this would disable the karr alarm or not.

No disrespect intended, I had a karr in my Chevy from the dealer and it went bad in 6 months time, they are not the best that's for sure. If you do get a new one try a different brand.

    Good luck

Ya no I just threw it on the loan and they gave it to me cheap. Was looking already for a remote start system. Just haven't decided what brand to go for.
