Hey guys, thanks for any help in advance. I've looked through threads but cant find anything directly related to what I need.

I'm installing fogs on my 2011 base reg cab 4x4.. I purchased a kit from Amazon that includes all needed parts (to my knowledge). Ive got the bulbs connected to the battery and relay, and wired through the firewall. I have the OEM switch which connects to a wire harness. This wire harness connects to the wire I have feeded through the firewall, but also has a postive (red) wire that is bare and a ground (black) wire. The instructions are vague for this step.. it says to connect the red wire to the inside power source and and black to the frame for grounding. This is where I am stuck. Where does this red wire feed into?

    I greatly appreciate any help!!

The red needs to be hooked up to a power supply that comes on with the ignition. I would think you could do a fuse tap in the fuse panel or maybe if your truck is pre-wired for fogs you would be able to put a fuse in the fog slot & have power in the factory wires.

    You need this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-BP-HHH-ATM-Add-A-Fuse/dp/B000GKEXK2

Connect the red wire to this.

Then put 2 10 amp fuses in it and put it in the TAIL 10A slot in the cabin fuse box. The OEM fuses don't fit since they are low profile, I had to get new ones. Autozone had the fuse tap and fuses.

I have the exact year and truck as you, see my post here for how I wired them in. I got the same kit too:
