If you've read that some are doing this without cab chop & no rubbing, about 99.9% sure they're not offroading , even if they tell you they do... they aren't.. Done too many of these to know that going to bigger tires , rubbing IS an issue on 2nd gens, sometimes even just mall crawling

ya i tried to avoid it with the 285s, 4.5 bs and eibach lift but no dice. To me no rubbing means no rubbing and theres no way in hell i get around it without choppin that shit off

Thx buddy! I say do the body chop and after that any moddification wont matter... Thats how i started. That one was the worst... But havent looked back just make sure you seal it real good inside and out.

I am runnig a 3" lift with 285/17/70's and have done the cab mount chop, and still get some rubbing when i turn the wheel and hit hard, i am thinking about doing wheel spacers to see if that helps. Love the look and the ride part of having a lifted truck, i guess!

Exactly, theres a few here that insist they don't , but you KNOW they're full of shit. Oddly, 2nd gen 5 luggers have no cab mount to chop !! & they accept a larger tire more readily with less trimming of plastic than the "off road" TRD & Sport.....:notsure:
