Well not literally, but theres been a Yota in my life since I was born. I joined this forum because I had a mysterious vibration issue on the'98, that I just couldn't put my finger on...and the kind knowledge folks here helped me solve it as I searched the web of threads here. The first one I encountered when I was a small child, was the "Green Machine", my dad's '78 green Hi-Lux...the one with the tie-downs on the outside of the bed, and I remember the vinyl style interior, with the little holes in it, and the unmistakable smell of it. Then one day he traded it in for an '86 red Hi-Lux diesel. Then from there we had a Toyota minivan and then went up to an '88 4 Runner 4x4. So as the years rolled by, along with the miles...a severe problem developed in the top end of the engine that made it chatter like a diesel. There was some kind of TSB for that issue. That prompted my mom to get the'98 4 Runner 2wd, Anyways those were the Toyotas that I was chauffeured around in as a kid. My first Toyota purchase was in '95 as a '95 Toyota Tacoma 5 speed 2wd. After 345,000 miles, (and a high paying job later) I kept my baby and in 2006 I purchased my 2006 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, and she almost has 200k already. I feel right at home with all you Toyota gear heads, I'm not as into the mods, but I plan on choosing a few, a they are broken down into laymans terms. Thanks for reading my intro story... Randy

I see you like your 2wd...sounds good for gas....but not for getting up my driveway. -McLaren

    Welcome to TW.

As for bullfrog, whatever dude.. Some people don't have a use for a 2x4.
And if your driveway is that hard to get up, then your house sucks and I'd move.
