..the stock ones are kind of wimpy.

SO a couple of minutes on google have led me to these options.
Wanting to know if any of you have upgraded your horns to help me pick a set.

I'm looking for something louder to replace the stock and still function off the steering column. No general lee or la-kukaracha horns please, train horns have their own thread, so lets keep this practical.

Leaning toward 12v for ease of install, but may consider combing this with the OBA project and run some air.

option 1: Trigger Horns The Pods Dual-Tone Turbine Electric Horns
    http://www.autoanything.com/car-horns/74A6365A0A0.aspx
Little pricey, not sure what they sound like.

    option 2: Hella SuperTone
Sound kind of wimpy on the utube vids, like they belong on a motorcycle not a truck. Need some owners to verify.

    option 3: Kleinn HK2
Not quite train horn, but still a little too much to be practical. The tagline "think fire truck or ambulance, but LOUDER" sums it up.
Thought I would throw this in as a contestant anyway. If I choose to go this route I would have to get a bigger tank and possibly another compressor to double for OBA. Definitely a separate switch for this setup, I wouldnt want to be setting it off all the time, it would have to be reserved for that one particular kind of asshole that hasnt quite learned common driving skills.

I just put hella supertones on my truck. They are loud as hell and must people will move out of the way.... But I will admit they do sound like they belong on a European car.

I think most of the Hella horns are like that. I have the triple tone air horns and they are a little high pitched and Euro sounding but man it makes people notice! Only about $40.

I put Hellas on my Accord...crisp, loud, but not real trucklike. I've been looking for a while, but haven't found anything that grabs me, besides horns that require onboard air, but don't want to get mixed up with the hassle of locating all the pieces, the compressor noise, and the $$$
