Hey guys got an 06 manual 4x4 with 81,000 on the clock. When clutch pedal is not engaged it makes a squeaky sound like a belt or something any idea what it could be?

Hmmm that doesnt make sense, that it is making noise when not being used. It may be the bushings are worn out.

^This. Mine did the same thing. Made the sound when the clutch was out. Went away when I pressed it back in. New through-out bearing is like $75 and URD makes a kit to help with this recurring problem. Kit is like $250 if I remember correctly and you'll need a new throw-out bearing. If you have the resources, you can save a lot of money doing it yourself.

It won't fall under warranty at the dealership, though. They told me that it has to be before 75,000 miles. Luckily I had complained about it back at like 65k so when I went in at 89k they had to honor my previous complaint.

You can probably get away with it for a while, but if and when it fails, you will not be able to drive.

It;s the TOB, there are a million threads on it here, and I believe there is a tsb for it as well.

I'll dig some up when I have a min. If you take it to the dealer, they may try and charge you, and its expensive as hell since I believe they have to remove the transmission. Also, they will tell you you need a new TOB, which will only temporarily fix the noise. It will come back soon after, as the actual throw out bearing isn't the problem. Only let the dealer do it if you can find the TSB.
