As a theft prevention, is there a fast way to disable/enable being able to start a 2005 Tacoma?

I'm hoping for something other than removing and reinstalling the battery cable. Is there a fuse that can easily be removed to prevent starting? Thanks.

Try the fuse block under the sweltering wheel, pull the ign1 and ign 2 fuses and see if you can start it doubt u could.

Unless this is for a specific and infrequent parking spot - I would honestly find a place to put a switch. You should be able to use a high amp load accessory cutoff relay. Hide the switch in the cab somewhere and hit it off when you get out.

Do you really want to have to pull the cover/cubby out and look up under the dash every time you want to start the truck??

For a long term solution, I wll most definitely consider installing a switch. That is the best solution. Thanks.

my idea is to interrupt the power to the fuel pump with a hidden or disguised switch. The reason is that you might want to know when someone is trying to start your truck worst thing that can happen is to drain the battery.

Just pulled the two ignition fuses. That is exactly what happens. Starter will turn over but truck will not crank. A temporary fix.

Would it be easier to just put those fuses on a switch?
