I should know today whether a local dealer can get one in from within the region.

I like new cars & trucks, I'd be excited!

When I sold Toyotas (still feel like I need a shower but, that's another story) we could not get a specificly configured Supra Turbo for one of my customers. The dealership offered to do a dealer preference and the customer left a deposit. Months later, after I walked out, I learned the customer never did get the car he wanted.

There is some justification in buying what you see or have a VIN.

    Brand new. Coming soon.
When I told my dealership what I wanted, with every option printed out in black and white. I was told there was only 1 truck within the continental U.S. that matched my requirements. Dealership had it here in 5 days, no additional charge to me.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I wasn't able to find a dealer in Arizona willing to get me what I wanted. Earnhardt Toyota said they could, then dropped the ball. And wouldn't talk with me when it became obvious they couldn't get it. That's very poor business practice.

I ended up finding several dealerships in Southern California that had the exact configuration I was looking for, and for a reasonable price. Flew out yesterday morning and drove back with the new truck. Not how I wanted to spend a Saturday, but oh well.

I think Earnhardt should drop the word 'No' from their advertising slogan.

I ordered mine last saturday….. i was promise a VIN with in the 2 weeks as he flat out told me it was going to really hard to do a transfer (basically coast to coast)…. I liked that he didnt BS me about getting me truck from the west coast….. he put an order in for it to be built… kind of my only choice right now…. I left a 3rd of my down payment so Im sure he's on top of it to close the deal…
if not, im getting my money back and prolly going to have to give up :(
