How do I know if my 01 is Keyless Entry?

Just purchased an 01 SR5 that has power locks. Dealer said it was remote entry but didn't have the fob. How do I know if this unit has factory remote entry?

It may have remote / keyless entry, but it can't be 'factory'.

Remote keyless entry was first offered as a factory option with the Power Package in the 2003 model year.

However, it's possible the truck was fitted with a *dealer-installed accessory* or aftermarket alarm system with remote keyless capabilities.

The dealer might simply have mistakenly referred to it as 'factory' ...

As I said earlier - it's possible your truck was fitted with a dealer-installed Toyota alarm system (which *could* have keyless entry capabilities).

If the 2001-era TVIP alarm system was installed by an authorized dealer, there should be a small control box / unit attached to the wall behind your driver-side kick panel. That was the standard / prescribed location for mounting it. The install instructions say it was installed using two-sided tape and a large tie.
