I have a 2011 DCLB I dont remember( I never noticed) which way the spring was in on the front strut. Was the lower end of the spring facing foward or rear?
I put the 2.5" spacers in and now the lower spring end is foward. It doesnt hit but it is close to the sway bar.
    any info appreciated

Take a picture. Not sure what you are asking. You mean the 'end' of the coil?

As long as the coil isn't progressively wound, I don't think it has a top or bottom. The lower spring perch will be shaped to cradle the spring when installed. Search for threads of front end topics with pictures for a referance.
