Hey guys, do you all know what the Max Towing Capacity is for a:

2006 Tacoma Prerunner V6 4.0L shortbed with no Towing Package?

What is a towing package, btw? Sorry im a bit of a newbie and was wondering what my limits are in terms of towing. A friend of mine (who owns a 2012 FJ Cruiser) and I are gonna go to the beach soon and I wanted to know if (in worst case scenario) I have to tow him out I could. I believe the FJs weight close to 5,000lbs. Thanks!

If you look in the owners manual, it will be in there.
If you are looking at pulling him out of the sand/mud, I'd say yes you can.
I think the tongue weight is 350 lbs w/ a max weight of 3500.

I don't think you would have enough traction to max out your capacity.

Just a few little things. It's my DD
You will need a hitch if it doesn't have one. And why would you have to pull another Toyota? The fj will make it home on its own. Now, if say a Chevy was going with you, yea you would prob be pulling it back but not a Yota!
