Hey guys, have a quick question. I am going to have to leave my 2010 DB-Cab 4x4 Tacoma at my parents for 2 months while I leave on a deployment. My question is, since the truck will be backed out back in there shed area, which has a pretty good angle on it leading into the area, which is where the truck will be parked, will this affect anything sitting on this hill for 2 months. Just little worried about oil-pick up when I come back to start the truck. Hope this doesnt sound crazy, but its a concern I have and its very cold here as well. Thanks guys!!!

biggest worry would probably be the fuel going bad, make sure to put some stabilizer in the fuel.

I would jack the truck up by the Lower control arms and axle so the tires don't flat spot. When doing this I would just level it off.

I would also throw in some fuel additive/preservative and fill it up to the top to keep condensation down while your away.

Its not good for any vehicle to sit that long without being started of driven so best bet would be to have your parents start it up every now and then and even drive it around while running errands.

Like others have recommended, its best to drive the truck a bit. I wouldn't worry so much about flat spots as I would about the fuel going bad. In fact, I wouldn't worry about the tires much at all.

Thanks for the reply everyone. I was just really concerned about all the oil not sitting level in engine when it was going to sit that long. Did not know if it would have a oil pickup problem sitting on a hill.

Two months is nothing for a car to sit idle. I've been gone for a year at a time three different times. You can add fuel stabilizer if you want but two months you don't really need it. It is actually worse for your car/truck to be started for a short period of time rather than just leaving it alone. Unless they bring it up to temp and drive it for a little bit.
On the hill issue, your oil would be in the back of the oil pan, where the oil pump is. No issues.

Just a few little things. It's my DD
    +1

Trucks sit on car lots longer than two months I'm sure. I also have left cars for two one year deployments. I only unhooked battery. I really wouldn't worry about two months. And when you get back to start it. Just bump the key a few times to get your oil back to the top.(where it sat there and drained to the pan). You should be fine. I would just unhook battery. I seen a post where they said do baking soda. Probably worth the couple dollars cause they will get musty sitting outside not getting fresh air in them.

Throw some wheel chocks under the rear wheels, and don't leave your ebrake engaged. Full tank of fuel to prevent condensation build up.
