    I mounted for ease of access and just to keep it neat and clean. I had always just kept it in the door but got tired of hearing it thump around down in the door cup holder.

    you could probably mount it on the drivers side if you bought a left handed holster.

    Just took a standard holster and cut the belt loops off to smooth it out a bit and mounted it with 4 self tapping screws.
