I dropped off my wifes car, a 2012 prius V that we bought new in september, Tuesday night for an oil change, and also to investigate an engine noise we have heard several times. At 230pm Wednesday, I called to see if anything had been discovered with the engine noise, but the service advisor said the car had been assigned to a technician and he didn't have paperwork to be able to tell me anything yet. I was told I would receive a call when the car was done. At 5pm when I got home, I still had not received a call. I called again, and was told the service advisor was with another customer, and asked if I wanted him to call me back. I said I was trying to find out if my car was done. The person who answered asked the cashier if they had my paper work, and they did, so I could come pick up my car.
Am I out of my mind to think that I shouldn't have to call to find out if my car is done, that they should be calling me?
I posted on the dealers facebook page and got a response there from someone almost immediately stating that they would talk to the service manager first thing in the morningon Thursday. The same person that responded on facebook, called my wife yesterday morning. My wife told them what happened, and they said she would talk to the service manager and to expect a call back. Again. never got a call back. She did get an automated call with a survey with 5 question, and we gave them all 1's.

Honestly, it was only 2.5 hours later. For all you know, the car could have been ready only a few minutes when you called back at 5, and you are not the only customer.

Yes, I have noticed this with a lot of dealer services lately. Seems just about every single one of them are inept mouth breathers. So called "customer service" these days is down the shitter.

I've got 2 Toyota dealerships really close to me and unfortunately, it's a trade off. One has really good techs, but their customer service seems to be lacking. The other has great customer service, they make you feel like you're the only customer they're going to have all day but unfortunately their techs suck and it's likely that you will spend the day there waiting for a simple service to be completed. That is why I do all my own work

On my last service visit the tech finished up with my truck then just tossed my crap on the SA's desk. All well and good except that he'd just gone to lunch. 40 minutes later I happened to look outside and see my truck sitting there ready to go. I had to hunt down another SA to find my crap and get me processed out. This dealership loves to cram it in my face about all of the 'President's Awards' they've received for their great service too. Dealers suck root.
