What ever happen to the TacomaWorld banner/flag idea?

I can't find any pictures, but hadn't someone mentioned the idea of making a huge TW banner or something that was supposed to be passed around the entire country. Being passed around from city to city slowly making its way around. With people from each city or what ever getting together to take a picture with it and then passing off to the next place, either by shipping it or driving it halfway to meet some one else.

 

Sounds like a good Idea. But the logistics would be a nightmare with who pays shipping, where it goes next. The Mods and the mighty Bob would need to set it up IMO

For the record I would have no problem paying shipping to southern MD or to Central or South VA

 

Oh someone else brought it up actually, they had seen it on another forum and brought the idea on here a few years ago. I guess in never happened and I couldn't find that particular thread.

They had mentioned that it was mostly driven across the country, by people meeting halfway from any given city or town, for example being passed from town to town slowly making it's way all over the place. Then the people from each city or town would have a little meet and get everybody and their vehicles together for a picture.

The logistics would be a nightmare if one isn't ready for it. Now I'm not volunteering myself, just bringing up an old idea that seemed to be forgotten.

I'm sure shipping would barely be neccessary if people are wiling to drive a little bit to pass it on.

 

That would be pretty neat actually!

 

You might not even have to ship it. If you know people in your area you can just pass it around at meets and what not till it gets around.. Same with the blue balls
