Hi everyone, I'm working on Cragar D-Windows (or other brands that are exact matches). I really like the nascar look lately, and the blue w red stripe just plain looks good to me. Is anyone running 16x7 fronts w 16x8 rears on their truck? I lowered my 01 SR by 4 inches in the past, raised it when I put a camper but I occasionally get small chunks of tread gouged from the fender screws (maybe i should replace the rear bump-stops?). Is anyone getting this problem, too?

Second Q: If/when I install the 16x8 and go to 245/55r16, will the tires be more susceptible to the same type of damage? I feel safe in a theoretical "yes" for this one, if that's so, then howbout a 235/55r16 tire on the 16x8? mild poke-stretch...

Your advice is appreciated, and so is your constructive criticism. Thanks humbly for your time!

Hope I didn't miss any vital info; and I'd love to see these wheels on an SRun. :)

    Update for anyone interested:

    Pacer D windows 16x7 fronts w 235/55R16
    Pacer D windows 16x8 rears w 245/50R16

ordered from Cherniss Tires in Chula Vista, Ca.

Pacer has to make the 16x8's so they're taking some time.
    Pics coming soon.

I previously had 19x9.5 up front, with 19x10.5 in the rear. It'd be fun to be able to find the same widths in 16" wheels, though...
