    Hey everybody

First time poster here. little back ground. Pretty mechanically able guy. hobby is jeeps, but I bought a 2009 2wd tacoma as a DD as I put quite a few miles on my vehicles now. well over the weekend I know I accidently burnt the clutch one time pretty bad driving in some snow. ever since then taking off from a dead stop will cause the truck to "shutter" a little bit. sometimes barely noticable, and if I can roll at all before letting out the clutch its almost non existant. it is not slipping at all. Ive done the standard 5th gear interstate test to see if im getting any slipping or other issues.

sounds like something going on with my clutch plates. honestly if this is a problem that I can live with for a few years I will more than likely do that before paying 1500 bucks to put a clutch in it. the truck is probably only worth 6500 or so as is.

I have an auto, so can't speak from experience on what it might be, but alot of folk feel the cold weather makes their clutch funny. Sure it is not a sudden change of temperature?

2WD clutch $1500? wish you were a little closer I'd come to your house and do it. Other then replace it just drive it until till it starts to slip may last a long time.

My 09 6spd makes all kinds of noise in the current cold weather and I get some of shutter you mention as well.

Maybe just the winter weather and moisture from the wet ground?
