Front Brake Job PROBLEM

Hi all,
I am replacing the front pads and rotors on my brother in laws 1998 toyota tacoma 4x2. He has a 5 lug wheel up front. One of the rotors is totally shot. How do I get the darn things off?
Do I have to pull the grease cap? It looks like the wheel bolts are sitting on an adapter that is bolted to the rotor. How do I get that part off?

1. remove grease cap
2. remove cotter pin
3. remove nut
4. remove/pull out front bearing
5. remove hub assembly/rotor (it's all one piece)
6. remove seal from rear of assembly
7. remove rear bearing

to reassemble:

1. repack bearing with grease
2. insert rear bearing, then tap in NEW seal (don't reuse old one!)
3. slide assembly back on truck
4. insert front bearing
5. tighten nut - this is a delicate procedure. i go tight, spin in a few times, then back it off until there is a small amount of "play" then retighten a little. hard to explain, hopefully you can "feel it"
6. insert NEW cotter pin
7. pound on grease cap

or something like that...
