I plan of putting a soft canopy on sometime down the road, I like the solid sides but I'm unsure if it creates too much of a blind spot. With all the black on my truck I was thinking about going with a tan canopy for some contrast, what do you guys think?

Thanks for the blind spot info, I carry tools and the solid sides are a bonus, I have searched here and online, I have found darker colors with the tan canopy but no DCLB

    Too few to list.
I had a bestop and I do like the windows as they were dark enough that you would really need to look to see inside. It's nice that you can see out of it if you are in the bed. I chose it over the soft topper. The window material is real durable. I had a bike handle bar tip over the window and it did not rip but stretched and went back to original shape afterwards.

I have the softopper and like it, if need you can roll the sides up. As another said, I'm comfortable using side mirrors and my backup camera so I don't feel blind spots are a huge issue with the softopper. I put mine on mainly for road trips, camping, wheeling, fishing....

If I had to do it again, I would still buy the softopper.

You say you put yours on for trips... Do you actually remove it when not in use or just fold it down? I am seriously considering getting one of these, but it would probably only be used a couple times a year. So I would want to completely remove it when not in use...

Yes there are times I completely remove it. I like that it's totally a 1 man job, it come off easily in 5 minutes or less and goes back on just as easily and quickly.

I think the truck would look good with the tan.

I have a bestop and I love it.

I like having the windows. They are very dark, and you cant see through them and into the bed unless you're really right up against it, but I can look outside from the drivers seat.

I can run a canopy, if I want, and I can easily take it on and off in minutes by myself.

I think the softopper and bestop are both well made, nice products, the choice comes down to preference and if you want a color other than black vs windows.

I have a Bestop and never had any problems. As far as I know, i'm the only person in HI with one and been approached by lots of people asking about where to get one.

I don't have a back-up cam yet, so the windows help looking out from the cab. They also let just enough light in that I can look into the bed from the cab and see everything.
