Im in the process of buying a bull terrier, I'm really nervous as I haven't had a dog in about 10yrs. Any tips or recommendations anybody wants to share are greatly appreciated

Also how long should I wait to bring the pup home, he was born on Jan 3rd. The owner is telling me he'll be ready to come home next week which would make him just over 5 weeks old. I'm worried about bring him home so soon since he's the runt of the litter and think he should still spend time with the litter and the fam

Has anybody brought a pup home really young, did you have any problems in the future. I hear bringing them home really young could develop anxiety and social problems for the dog

i have a bull terrier. shes around 9 years old now .i cant speak for being "real young" i got her at 6 months from a firefighter who beat her and sprayed her in her face with all kinds of shit, so my case may be a little different then yours.
she is an awesome dog though. they do NOT like other dogs (especially pits) it took alot of patience to get her and my boxer to get along. if she sees any other dog (at the vet, walking down the street) she will literally try and kill it and if she doesnt she starts foaming from the mouth, its just their instinct. mine thinks shes a lap dog, as do most dogs, but shes 70 pounds and such a baby. when i let her on my bed she has to sleep on my pillow like a human, under the blankets. they have tough stomachs, you can feed them anything like its nothing. shes had everything from cats squirels snakes to plain old cheap dog food. she is literally a tank. shes been bitten by numerous snakes and just keeps going. nothing phases her, except other dogs, and beer cans and aerosol cans. i cant even spray febreeze without her wanting to kill me (but thats because her previous owner, so i cant get mad at her, i just try and do it quietly lol)

thats all i got, heres a pic of her and my boxer
