Swapping out for a more efficient header design, would be better than just getting rid of the cats.

If you remove the front cats, then you have to add an O2 simulator because the O2 sensors are after the front sets. There are no sensors behind the second set of cats.

That is why you can install the URD y pipe without any issues or other modifications.

i don't get it; i have a cat mounted off the exhaust manifold and another right behind the first; that's it; one 02 sensor on the front cat and another on the exhaust pipe behind the second cat; both of these can have a nut welded to respective pipes to remount the 02 sensors; my question is will this work and will the sensors operate with more hp??
    thanx

:eek:I just purchased the " Direct fit cat converts for my 2005 4x4 trd offroad". They did not clear my front drive shaft. As soon as I opened the boxes I was nervos. It took 3 days of cutting welding and swearing to remove old and install new. It also cost a boat load of cash. 4 o2 sensors, 5 pipe from magnaflow and 1 manderal bent j bend and a shit load of new stainless hard ware. Be very weary of what you buy
