I plan on replacing my 2001 step-side regular cab Taco (with an SR5 package) this Spring, and I was pretty miffed to find-out that there absolutely no options packages available :( My current '01 SR5 package included color-keyed everything, 16" aluminum wheels, intermittent wipers, and mirrors that are adjustable in the cab (but still not power).

As already mentioned, you pretty much have to create your own SR5 package with the latest trucks, which maybe isn't that bad. The intermittent wipers and cruise control additions don't look that hard. Power mirrors look to be a bit trickier as you'll have to fabricate your own wire harnesses. I'm a big fan of color-matching the bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and grill, and I found that you can actually order color matched mirror covers, door handles, and grills through Toyota. That means the bumpers are the only thing one would have to get painted.

I'm also 6'1" and leg and head room isn't an issue in my regular cab. I owned an extended cab Toyota a few years ago, and I felt like I was driving a limo... it was just too long for my tastes. I also didn't like the blind spot created by the extended cab.

I don't have any kids or pets and use my truck for driving to work most days, so not having much exterior interior room is rarely an issue. Heck, not having the extra seats gives me a good excuse to not have to drive my vehicle when going places with my co-workers :D If you find you need more storage space, perhaps a folding Tonneau cover might be the ticket.

One of the SR5 features I would really like to have on a new regular cab is the back-up camera on the mirror.

Is this do-able on the 2013 Regular Cab? How easy or difficult is this mod to accomplish given I am not proficient with electrical wiring? What parts are required? etc...

    Thanks

If your tailgate is not wired, it could get a bit hairy, I would think. IMO, it might be better to get the handle camera and wire it to an after market HU.
