Going through hell trying to decide on new wheels and tires for my 2013 tacoma. Want to run 275/70/17 tires but debating on 17x8 17x8.5 and 17x9 will a more narrow wheel actually make the tire taller? And what would be the best wheel width for this tire width? Also will a wider wheel cause lower fuel efficiency and power loss? And with 2.5 lift in front which size and backspacing will cause the least chance of rubbing when flexed?

Check manufactures recomendations for wheel widths & the wider the wheel the shorter the tire will be.

Well the narrower the wheel the more it is protected by the tire and the less chance of rubbing.
