I might have a chance to move back to Colorado later this year and want to hit the trails with a reliable truck. I figured I would stalk this forum for info and ideas. Right now I am set on a 2011, 2012 or 2013 supercharged double cab 4x4 with a manual trans which is damn near impossible to find down here in Tampa. Why supercharged you might ask, because I want more power right from the start.

Supercharged from the start, I like the way you think. But you are right, it will be hard to find. I, for example, plan on keeping my truck until the maintenance and fuel costs exceed the cost of a brand new truck, which means I might have it forever. I recommend installing the supercharger kit when you buy it new. I also recommend the URD 255 lph fuel pump upgrade for the stock supercharger, as well as the stealth pulley.

 

I have a Mazdaspeed3 now, so I'm not stranger to bolting on a few upgrades, but if I get it from a dealer they can put a TRD supercharger on for the right price. The TRD kit comes with an upgraded fuel pump right? Then I'll slap on a new pulley after and some other things..

 

If you want a supercharger for a 2013 you are going to have to wait a few months. They haven't released it yet, even tho its going to be the same charger, the remap for the ecu is going to be different. and blah blah blah. I have talked to Toyota and TRD a bunch and in the interest of saving you time and effort, you are probably looking at mid March. If you want power now get the 2012 it, you are not missing out on anything if you do.
