have owned 4 Tacoma's in 26 yrs. each of them ran well when i traded them in with well over 350000 + miles. i have been through all of the recalls, frame taring, ball joints, that's it. i be leave vehicles do need maintenance, tires, oil, mufflers, tire rotation, and the other little things you do with out thinking about it. so, that has never been a pet peeve with me.
this 04 and i have had a battle with the check engine light. i have done the up stream and down stream sensors on the exhaust. i know they will not kill the engine from running, just put a cramp on the inspection sticker. with auto sound i can get around that. i commute to boston every day, 250+ miles. the only break down i ever had (brain dead) ran out of gas, that's all of the trucks.
this time (over time) i had trouble starting the engine, seemed i flooded it. i let it set for a while. i was way up in Maine the first time this happened, blamed it on the cold. changed the MAS, no change. bought a camshaft sensor, went to instal, cant find info, cant find info on crankshaft sensor. would love all of the feed back you folks have, a diagram, a you tube video, anything. i want my truck (ROSEY) back. thankyou Greg
