Anyone ever take the rear seats out of the 4d 4x4?

I got a 4 door for the dogs and to make it easy to get them in and out.
My last truck was a 4d and maybe 10-15 times over the 9 years did anyone ride in the back seat.
Don't really care about the what if, and so on, they can walk for all I care or sit like the dogs do......
Still have the wife's truck to ride 4 people if needed, she will sometimes have someone in there.

Most of the time it is my dogs, or hunting gear in the back.
So I was thinking about pulling all the seats, I would loose a little weight and gain a lot more room.
I could add a little deck in there for the dogs to ride on and they would be lower and have more room.
For now they sit in the the seat, I tried to fold the seat down and up but it does not give much if any more room at all plus they are sitting higher.
You also can not store anything on the floor if you fold the seat up.
That was one thing I really liked and miss about my old Dodge was the rear seat folded up and back then the bottom had a deck that folded to the front giving you an area to haul dogs, coolers anything you want, even heavy stuff. Plus you still had use of the area on the floor....

So any thoughts about gaining room in the back seat short of removing the seats?
    Anyone done anything like it?

I've thought about that as well. Might really consider it once I get a second dog. Also a possibility to just take one side out so the truck's at least a 3-seater.

Take the seats out and use that bench as a concept and make your own. Should work really well.
