I would assume yes. I'll have Trek give me a list of EVERYONE and Evan will choose the lucky winners

Let's let Evan work out the details. It was his idea, so I'll just provide the prizes, and moderate if necessary lol.

I don't think it's fair to the FJ Northeasters. They're a great group and are paying the same price for the lights. Why can't they have a shot at getting free stuff too?

I think its a good deal. You can order any light you want, even a cheap one, and have either a 1 in 30 chance or 2 in 40 chance to win $144 in lights. Straight from the man himself:

If we get 30 buyers from this site, someone will win a free pair of 4" TrekLight XT's.

If we get 40 buyers from this site, two members will each win a free pair of 4" TrekLight XT's.

I will work out details and alex and i will get it more organized so everyone knows the deal.

EDIT this may not be the case, other group buys from other forums may be included so the numbers will change, either way these are the lights that treklights will be giving away, more details coming soon

That wire harness description mentions hid ballast. Is ballast required for led's? Don't know much about lighting but have wired up my Hella 700ff with relay/switch/fuse/ground without issue. Can led's be wired the same as a Hella 700ff with just a relay and switch? I don't even know what ballast means in terms of lighting or electrical wiring.

I guess what I really need to know is if I can wire these LED light bars with just a relay, switch, and fuse? I would assume any ballast, resistors, drivers etc... should already be part of the LED light bar. Correct????

That wiring kit mentions ballasts because the company selling the kit typically sells HID kits which do require ballasts. A ballast is basically limits current to a device. LED's do not require the use of a ballast so TRS's wiring kit would connect directly to the LEDs, not a ballast. You can wire you your LED lights the same way you wired your Hella 700ff lights (assuming you wired them correctly).
