Dont bash me if there is a thread already, I looked around and couldnt find an answer. I changed out my head unit a few months back and neglected to eject my CDs out of the stock head unit. I realized it a few days later and definetly did not want to go back through the hassle of taking the new one out and plugging the old back in to eject CDs.

SO...my question is, Is there a way to wire up/find the hot and ground or wires that will make the old head unit turn on and just touch them to the battery so I can eject the CDs ?

try meeting up with another member to get them out. use their truck, take out their unit, install yours, get the cds out, then swap back. that way you wont have to mess with the aftermarket harness in yours.

chrome on front painted to match, satoshi grill done by myself, BHLM, billys all the way around with ome springs upfront and LR ucas with wheelers 3 leaf progressive pack in the rear, mb gunner wheels powdercoated black on 285/75r16 nitto trail grapplers, tinted all the way around and on windshield, pioneer dbl din touch screen with two 10's behing the seat and new speakers all the way around and certain interior parts painted to match, also have a road wire leather kit black with red stitching sitting here waiting for me to find time to install it!
honestly the easiest way will be to plug the old radio back in even though you dont want too.. i mean i can get you a picture of the aftermarket harness and show you which pins are power, ignition and ground.. then you should be able to put power to it and get out your cds

using your battery put power to the 12v and ignition pins and ground to the ground and you should be good to go.. let me know if this helps! this should be what the plug should look like on the back of the radio as long as you do not have jbl!

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Or use a battery from a drill gun. It'll power up for you to eject the CD's.

Im not sure I understand how to hook up a battery from a drill gun to that harness? Ill try the other way when I get home to just run power ignition and ground. Should be pretty simple, thanks for all the help!

Just think how much you'll enjoy the CD after not hearing it for a few years.
