I've got a 2006 TRD Off Road Tacoma. I've got 55,000 miles on it. I've always let off the gas when going into & out of 4 high while driving. Lately it's started to grind when it kicks in. I'm leary of taking it to the dealer because they charge outragious prices for any & all service. Is there an easy fix or is it going to be something major?
    Thanks,
    Ed

I would check the tires. A significant difference in pressure could cause that. I assume they are all the same size and have approximately the same amount of wear.

The tires were all bought at the same time. I'll check the tire pressure.
    Thanks,
