tacoma stuck in 4lo

    18 in wheels!
    i have an 06 tacoma manual 4x4. tested out the 4x4 and now its stuck in 4lo cant get it out. the 4lo light beeps in 2h and 4h but when i turn it over to 4lo it stop beeping but it wont go back to 2h , 4h. need help. thanks

    is there an info card in your overhead windshield visor? the details are there, they are specific. when i 1st put mine in 4lo it drove me nuts until i followed the steps.

    Stop, put in neutral, and if manual you need to also fully depress clutch
    Switch from 4L to 4H
    The 4LO light should go off on the dash.

    then 4H to 2H should be easy enough...

    ^ x2 the clutch has to be all the way to the end of it's travel before you can go from 4L to 4H

    I hate when this happens. Sometimes going in reverse for a couple feet will help.

    put in 4hi, shut completely off, then restart with clutch in all the way. This is how i have to get out of 4lo sometimes on mine.
