Well I decided to tackle my door lock actuator on my 2006 Dbl cab. Rear passenger door would not lock so I found a thread on here about how to take it apart and clean it. Everything was fine until I re-installed it in the door. I checked it and it was working good. I was very pleased until I closed the door. I did hook up the cable but I must have done something wrong because now the door will not open. Locked or unlock, inside handle or outside handle. Does anyone know how to get the rear door open?

I had the same thing happen when I did my driver's side door but I caught the issue when I still had the interior door panel off. If you have the door shut and the interior panel on, you're probably going to end up breaking something getting to the door opened. You forgot to hook up a few things and you'll need to be able to get your hand to the actuator to manually open the door. Your best bet, I would think, would be to try and get the interior door panel off and reach in to open the door.

I haven't looked at mine to see if it's possible or not, but try rolling down the window and seeing if you can grab the release with a slim jim or something.

That could work. If the rears are like the front, you should be able to press the button down and make the door unlock.

If you screwed up the internals of the lock's actuator, then you might be S.O.L.

Thanks! I'll pop off the other side today and see where I will have to push or pull or beat with a hammer.
