Hello TW. I had a 99 TRD Access Cab for 10 years. Sold it when kid #2 came along and have been kicking myself for 4 years. Every time I walked to my vehicle it made me smile. Looked as good the day I sold it as the day I bought it.

I have tried a Landcruiser (FZJ80) and currently run a Sienna since the Tacoma. I have no choice - I have to come back to my one true vehicle.

I am going to a double cab this time, but my only TRD option for the 6' box is the TRD Sport package. I fell in love with the Spruce Mica. I am wondering if anyone has seen a SM with a color matched fiberglass topper??? I have tried searching and running thru all the posts I think might have it.

The double cab was not an option for me in 99 since I think they came out for 2000? So all this SB vs LB discussion is new to me. I want the LB for carrying stuff, but I do think it looks a little low and long stock. So I think it needs to be lifted (and blackened). I have never done a lift. Am I wasting money on the TRD Sport package if I am just going to lift it anyway?

    Welcome!
The Long Beds look great lifted in my opinion!
A lot of folks will say here to save your $$ if you are thinking of lifting to make your own mark!
The TRD packages do add some bells & whistles.
Test drive the non TRD packaged trucks & the TRD Sport & decide what you can & cannot live with as far as options.
In the end you gotta like what you drive especially spending your own $$.
