07 Toyota Tacoma Xrunnner

Just bought a 07 Xrunner with 18k miles on it a great find but I have noticed sometimes when running it hard and changing gears it will idle high in between gears and I know I am shifting right but can see the rpm's jump high when pushing in clutch.....any ideas?
