Does anyone know where I can get one of these??

Looking for this AMP Research 74509-01A Black Motoxtender. Ive seen threads here and there but hoping someone might have a used one I could buy. There seem to be a couple places online but they dont have them...thanks TW

If you go to the Amp Research website find that product on their page and then click on "Shop Now" and then "Buy online" it gives you a long list of venders who can get it or already have it in stock. I'm looking to buy it too and either sell or give away my OEM Amp Bed Extender

It’s the moto x bed extender. I think they stopped making it tho. not sure. also hear they stopped but are going to start making it agin.

 

There is a shop in California that still has them. I just picked one up last week. PM me for details.

 

That version has been discontinued. They still make it, but in the newer style seen below.

I bought my XD Series wheels on this site too lowest price by far.

 

Be sure to get the "drop in" latches.
If you haul a bike, the extender won't rotate up to be released.
You will also need a torx T25 bit for assembly.

 

I was shopping for the original over a year ago. Called all over Canada and US and even at that time could not locate one single extender anymore. Websites would show some available to purchase, but when you call, they tell you they will have to order one from AMP only to find out it is not available anymore.

There may be shops that have one left over sitting in the warehouse, but generally consider it being discontinued and unavailable. As Scott mentioned, AMP has a new version available for sale.

Last option is obviously local classifieds and ebay.

 

great loking extender.

even with a long bed, my GSXR is just a bit too long to close the tailgate. Some one said if i let the air out of the tires i can close it but i wouldnt consider doing that unless I was far.

what are you transporting?


Are they made of aluminum? in therory you can bend one (with out owning a hydraulic pipe bender).

my buddy is able to fit 2 bikes in his with lots of gear....we both have dbl cab longbeds.

No problem buddy! Told you I knew of a good spot! Signature Performance wheel and tire in Costa Mesa is the spot to go if you need one of these!!!

 

You have to call amp research to get the right clips for your tailgate clamps. I have toyota uses a smaller buckle then the one the extender comes with. I it's like 7 bucks from amp and they ship withing 2 days
