My Intro

Hello. My name is Dave. I am brand new to this site. I am not new to Toyotas though. My first brand new vehicle was a '82 Toyota 4x4 pick up regular cab short bed. I drove and modified that til 1990.
Two weeks ago, my chevy 2500 HD got kissed by a falling 80 ft pine tree during the blizzard of 2013. It was declaired totaled. I loved that truck, even though it had a serious drinking problem. (11-13 mpg). I have to have a pick up, and I don't need a HD truck anymore, so I went back to my old favorite, Toyota's. I now own a 2013 Tacoma access cab TRD Offroad . What a nice truck. It sits in the garage next to my wifes corolla.
I am a certified mechanic by trade and have worked for GM dealerships for 20+ years. I am a member of the NG and have done a tour of Kuwait/ Iraq in 2010. My all time favorite hobby is dirt bikes. I enjoy racing enduro's and just plain trail riding. I am a KTM guy. There's something about orange.
