So here's the thing my buddy at work has a pro comp 6" lift on his 2010 DC Tacoma. I have a 3" lift pro comp on my 2012. So he's going to trade his truck in and he said we could swop lifts I like to do it and I called pro comp and they said it will work even tho his is a prerunner and mine is a 4×4. They said I will need a add a leaf but wouldn't that be on his truck? What do you guys think? Is it worth it? And how long would a swop like this take?

Just a few little things. It's my DD
I'd love to have a 6" lift. I'd say it would be a good weekend project.

Id just offer to purchase the stock components for him in trade for the lift. If hes taking it to a dealer, they would be more inclined to trade or sell with him (dealers hate any heavily modified vehicles). Its a win win.... you keep your 3'' and get a 6'' for the price of the stock components.....

    Just my 2 cents.

Also you wouldnt have to rush to swap out 2 lifts in a few days... you can take your time. and if you planened on having a truck shop od the work, then you would have to pay them for the work....
