my Tc uca's are gone and the lr uca's are in....so far i wish I would have gone with the lr's first. My expeirance so far is only onroad and minor offroading but before I would rub with my 285's and now I dont at full lock. This means that the lr's really do offer more caster adjustment because I can visibly see the wheel is pushed further towards the front. NO MORE SQUEEK ! - I got used to lubing the joints with the tri flow lubricant every time after a car wash that it was insane...that lube is not cheap -lol. Oh, and i have more downtravel to boot - i'm cranked at 3-3.25 on the toytect co's and I can feel the downtravel now. Before it felt like it was just one setting...stiff. The balljoints like tc are good for the hardcore offroad guys - but guys like me that live in crappy chicago winters were salt cakes everything and we dont have homes ontop of mountains its just not ideal.

Yep ! , they are cheaper also. Sometimes more $$$ doesn't necessarily mean better for the application. I'll take some pictures later. I know some people dont have any issues with the tc making noise but mine just got horrible after about a year n' a half. After every wash it squeeked like a cut spring honda.

The fj's and the 285's are heavy pigs. I'm going to go to throw on the weds I have and cut down to the 265's when these are toast. I calculated the weight and going from one combo to the next it was like 125lbs difference of total rotational weight. I think the math is that 1lb rotational is as heavy as 5-7lbs inside the vehicle. So you're looking at a crapload quicker and responsive the truck will be. Not to mention will save me $$$$ on gas.

I was surprised the difference in weight of the same size vary as much as they do.
I put 285 which is basically 33. Nitto trail graps are 69lbs ea compared to only 55lbs ea per the same size in Duratrac. 14 lbs per tire 56 pounds. Also went down to 16 inch rim and dropped 6 lbs per wheel. So same size and total rotational weight dropped= 80 lbs
Would post pic if I wasn't such a dummmy. I need to do BHLM next.
