I have a 2005 x-runner which has one of the stiffest clutches on any vehicle I have ever owned. It catches just fine but it is like working a leg press sometimes. I drove a buddy's 2012 with the 2.7L 5 speed and it was like night and day. Is there something specific that I should try lubricating to make it softer? or would it require taking apart and putting softer springs inside the clutch. Anyone else with a x-runner have this issue??

I bet you it's lighter than my Competition Clutch stage 5 4puck sprung :p

You'll get used to it in no time, if the pedal feels soft/mushy is when you should be worried.

Clutch thinks he's tough huh? I say you take that son of bitch out back and knock him down a peg or two.

I'm going to try replacing the fluid with Amsoil 75W90 and see if that makes any difference. Atleast my left quad and calf is getting mega workout hehe
