I am currently running on the standard Dealership tires. They are about 10K from being slicks. I did not know that these are considered "passenger tires" I would like to go with a light truck tire and I am looking for suggestions. I was told that the Light Truck tire has more of a corner on them and will be a little more aggressive tread, better in snow and mud. I do not have a lift kit and I don’t want to kill my mileage, so I am open to suggestions. A friend suggested Firestone AT.
It is a 4X4 double cab, if that makes any difference
    Thank you in advance

Plenty of options for you, Michelin LX MS2 have a great review, the Hankook Dynapro ATMs are also a good tire.

Like already stated MS2 best all around tire. Be prepared to pay over $1k though.

I like Toyo HT tires. Great ride and quiet/efficient.

I love my Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tires. They have a 65k warranty, smooth and quiet and has a more aggressive style than other Michelin street tires. Since you have the 4x4 model, I would say look at the Cross Terrain,MS2 and AT/2 from Michelin..IIRC if you have the 17's i think the biggest size is 275/65/17 but not 100%

if you put lt tires on you will kill your gas mileage by at least 1 mpg. if you decide to go with LT tire, go with a load range C, I would run a P series in XL load rating. I run 275/70/17 in a load range C the biggest tire without going to a D. I found may be 1 or 2 p285/70/17 but stock rims were too narrow for that size. not many options in 275/70/17 but they are around 32.5 inches tall. I get between 19-20 mpg running 70-75 mph. 2005 4x4 dblcab long bed with toytec 3" lift and A R E topper.

Nitto Terra Grapplers are a big favorite around here and they dont break the bank as bad as some other brands.

Firestone destination AT's are a lot lighter than most other AT tires. They will not affect your mileage as much as a heavier tire. Not as tough, maybe, but they get high marks on Tire Rack.com

MS2's! Have had them on for almost 30K now and they still look brand new. Smooth and will not drop gas mileage.
