    Greetings all!

Now that I've drawn you in with that glorious title, allow me to introduce myself in an uncharacteristically long-winded manner.

I've been in love with Tacomas ever since I was a wee ankle-biter. My oldest brother always had "small" trucks, and after he wrapped his Mitsubishi powered Dodge Dakota around a tree he purchased himself a brand new Toyota Pickup back in '93. When I saw it for the first time, I absolutely KNEW that was the vehicle for me. Incidentally, he just rolled over 500,000kms and it's still going strong!

The only truck I've ever had was a 1984 Mazda B2000 2WD that was a hand-me-down from my folks. This thing was gutless as all hell...basically sounded like a broken washing machine. It was, however, phenomenal on the trails in the Okanagan (where I grew up). With the exception of huge rocks and gaping ruts, I was nearly always able to keep up with my 4x4 buddies, thus cementing my belief in the fun that can be had with a 2wd truck.

Over the next decade and a bit, I moved on to vehicles with considerably less offroad prowess. For example, this was the car that I built up before my wife and I decided we needed something a bit more practical. It's a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe.

Out of the box it was one of the worst handling cars I've ever driven. After I did every single suspension upgrade that was available at the time, I was keeping up with my buddies STi on touge runs outside Vancouver. Took it down the Pacific coast highway for my honeymoon (best road trip ever!), and just generally loved the crap outta her. I even included it in a photoshoot we had in Edmonton. Remember the nekkidness I mentioned earlier? Well...I'm a man of my word. :)

Since I can't show actual nekkidness, this will have to suffice. If you want more details, PM me. :)

I do contract work for a locally owned adult website and my car was included in one of the shoots. I had butt-prints on my window until I traded it in.

About a month ago my wife and I decided we needed a second vehicle. My immediate thought was to go ahead and finally get myself a Tacoma! I found a used 2005 base model for a great price with low mileage, and I've been having a blast ever since! The first thing I did was replace those pathetic stock tires with something a tad meatier. Within an hour of taking possession, I was at the shop getting a set of General AT2s on. Much better!

...and that's about it. I've been on numerous forums and I can honestly say that TW has some of the most respectful users I've seen. I thoroughly enjoy that I can drop the occasional F-bomb without getting the ban-hammer thrown at me, and that I know I won't be surrounded by wannabe rice-boys. I'm also overjoyed at the number of people on here that can string together several sentences with proper grammar!

Looking forward to spending a ridiculous amount of time and money on my new toy and being a part of this awesome community!

    Cheers,
    Eric
