My 2012 didn't have the audio controls either and that's why I started in on Toyota. Ended up getting a few hundred dollars back from them because the brochure said one thing and truck said another. To date, the brochure STILL hasn't been changed and it has been 3 1/2 months!

I recommend you harass them for money based on truth in advertising. Believe me, they do pay.

So you went with the above part number? Is it switch "backwards" like some people have said for you? Meaning faster is slower, and slower is faster? No need to search how to install, that's the easy part. Just want to make sure I don't need extra wiring or anything.

"Is it switch "backwards" like some people have said for you? Meaning faster is slower, and slower is faster?"

I don't know what that means. Nowhere on the switch does it say, "slower", or "faster"
When I use the delay feature, I don't look at the knob. I just turn it. It seems natural to me to turn the knob "up", which means that my thumb goes up towards the windshield, when I want a shorter delay - more wipes per minute, and down when I want less wipes - longer delay. That's what part number 84652-02610 gives me. Whether some people call that reversed or not I don't care.

lol, the lines on the switch are supposed to mean slower and faster. Guess you didn't know that. :D

That is just the opposite of what mine does with the switch we installed.

I know there are lines there. Which is supposed to be slower? Which is supposed to be faster? On the 2 model numbers discussed in the various related threads, it seems that one model number goes one way and the other model number goes the other way.
Why is it necessary to look at the switch to have to know which way to turn it. It should be intuitive for you.
For me, turning it so my thumb goes up towards the windshield yields more wipes per minute. The wiper isn't faster or slower, the delay between wipes is either slower or longer.

OOPS! Of course I meant that the wiper isn't faster or slower, the delay between wipes is either brief or long. But you get my point.

ok i did a little research, part number 84652-041312 is the part number on a 2007 tacoma, will this work on my 2010 tacoma?. I am not sure if access cab and double makes a difference, or if motor size makes a difference or not. i have a guy salvaging a tacoma and I am buying it if this will work.

    anyone?

My research lead me to believe that both part numbers will work. The only difference is the direction you turn the knob to increase or decrease the delay.
I bought my 84652-02610 on ebay from the seller "Jetson519". His ad stated that it was for a 2009 Tacoma. I sent him a message asking if it would fit my 2012. He said yes and he was right.
Do a search on ebay for "toyota tacoma wiper switch". Find one with the part number your interested in and ask the seller if it'll fit your year model.

Either p/n will work. The old p/n 84652-041312 has markings and works exactly like other Toyota vehicles - that's the one I went with and put in my 2011 because we also have a 2007 Rav4 and I didn't want two vehicles with the switches working differently. Either one will work and it does not matter whether you have an access cab, standard or quad cab.

I have a 2012 Tacoma, Regular Cab Base model. The Part Number is 846520-02610. It took me about 30 minutes start to finish. That included moving the vehicle, taking pictures, and putting everything away. All you need is a number 2 phillips, a flat head screw driver, and a 10mm wrench to disconnect the batter terminal (according to the manual). It was completely 'plug and play'. It was ridiculously easy. I got the part on line at www.ebaymotors.com. It takes you to the ebay.com site but it's all to do with vehicles and parts. The seller was Royal South Toyota in Bloomington, Indiana. A buddy of mine has a higher end model of the 2012 Tacoma and the switch works and looks just like the wiper switch in his truck.

The treads on this mod are interesting. Has anybody tried this on a 2014? The older threads mention part numbers 84652-02610 and 84652-04141.
Does anyone know which one would fit the 2014 access cab 2.7L 4x4?
    Thanks.
