I have been looking at new camper shells for my '12 Tacoma. It is silver and was wondering how a black shell would look on it. My light bar, wheels and step tubes are all black. I would love to see a pic of a silver Tacoma with a black topper on it. Silver would be fine too. I thought if I came across a used black one, I would probably buy it. Any thoughts?

I got my ARE cap painted to match from the manufacturer. It really looks great and matches pretty good. If you get a plain black cap it may make your truck look like it came from 1980(remember the old white fiberglass caps). Also if it is black it would get very hot inside in the summertime and cause your adult beverages to get warm. Remember this is only my opinion and in no way intended to piss anyone off. In the end it's your truck and your choice. Have fun
