Hello everyone on TW! I am here to show you my new (to me) 2001 Toyota Tacoma. I have had here for about a week now and I am already in love. First, a little background on my car history.

I was and am a big fan of Subarus, the first car I ever bought was a 2002 Subaru Impreza that did me well for many many years. But on Christmas Eve 2012 I came home to a very unwelcome Christmas surprise... When I got home from skiing, I found my poor Suby like this out front of my house.

Someone must have slid into me during a snowstorm we had that day and just drove away, no note left or anything. Fortunately I had insurance, and I began to hunt for a new car. I decided that I wanted something with a little more clearance... So a few days ago I bought this!

Though I loved my Impreza, I needed a bigger truck more capable of towing, hauling, and off-road stuffs. Some of my buddies have Tacos and I was quickly convinced that I needed to buy oneI am also an avid skier, climber and camper, so the camper shell makes this basically the perfect assault vehicle and a house on wheels!

Anyway, I am glad to be here and glad to be in a Tacoma as sweet as this one! She is a 3.4l V6 with 180,000 miles, 4x4, locking rear diff and a Snugtop shell with roof rack. I will be starting a build thread here and I am anxious to learn all I can about these wonderful, seemingly bulletproof trucks.
